The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), known as the Hare Krishna movement or Hare Krishnas, is a Vaishnava Hindu religious organization. ISKCON was founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
