About the Temple

This temple flourishes the credit of 1st Hindu temple constructed in the state of Indiana on 5th Feb 2006.

The main aim of the temple’s existence is to serve the spiritual needs of the Hindu families living in central Indiana.

Religious events like Maha Kumbhabhishekam or the sanctification process were performed on 3rd June 2015.

The temple is built as per the Ancient Science of Indian Architecture known as “Sthapatya Vidya”, meaning establishing a strong relationship between the owner, building, and /or house and the cosmic order.

All the temple deities are spread over 4 different gopurams, while the main gopuram is over 99 feet tall and is the center point of attraction.

Deities and their significance

 The main mandir hall houses 17 deities namely:

  1. Lord Ganesha
  2. Ayyappa Swamy (son of Harihara- Vishnu in the form of Mohini, and Shiva, also referred to as Sastavu, Hariharasudhan, Manikandan, Sabarinath, and so on)
  3. Hanuman
  4. Subramanya
  5. Jagannath
  6. Goddesses like Durga, Saraswathi, Lakshmi, and Parvati.
  7. Shiva
  8. Mahavir
  9. Saibaba
  10. Navagraha’s
  11. Venkateshwara
  12. Andal
  13. Rama and Krishna

Temple Rules/Dress Code

  • Devotees and guests are requested to visit the temple in traditional Hindu Attire
  • Casual attire- no tank tops, short clothes below the knee
  • No strollers, No Photos, and No shoes

  1. Vahana (vehicle) pooja in the regular temple pooja hours done at $41
  2. Food Catering service (only Saatvic Food)
  3. HTCI provides free medical services for non-emergency conditions through its free medical clinic called HTCI Clinic.
