In some calendars Chaitra Month is the first month, In Some Calendars Baisakhi is the first month.
For Example, in Bengali calendar, Vaisak is the first month,
in Gujarati Calendar, Kartik is the first month of the year,
in Telugu, Tamil & Kannada calendars Chaitra month is the first month.
Because Hindus follow Two types of calendars. One is Amant, Second is Purnimant.
Amant calendar is followed in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Purnimant Calendar is followed in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar.
But all the festivals will fall on the same day as per Gregorian calendar.
