In this temple, Lord Shiva is worshiped as Sri Kailasanatha Swamy or Sri Gireeshwara.

Another most attractive deity in the temple is Lord Subrahmanya Swamy worshipped here as Pancha Shesha Subrahmanya Swamy. He is also worshipped as Skanda, Karthikeya, Kumara Swamy, Sarparaja Swamy & Nagaraja Swamy.

This temple also has the deity of Lord Hanuman.

History

Since the time immemorable, the deity of the Lord (Mulavirattu) was worshiped in a cave. In 1984, a devotee of Lord Shiva, Alladi Rachayya Guptha has constructed the temple. Lord Shiva is also called as Eshwarudu, Thathpurushudu, Aghorudu, Nama Devudu and Sadyojathudu.

Rituals To Do

Among different ways of worshipping (Shivaradhana – Shiva Nama Smarana, Shiva Rudra Patana, Shiva Dhyanam, Abhishekam, etc), he is most pleased by Abhishekam, hence he is called as Abhisheka Priya. Abhishekam to Lingam by chanting Lingastakam preferred.

Important Festivals

Maha Shivarathri, Karthika Masam, Ugadi, Vinayaka Chathurthi are the important festivals.
