About the Temple
In the early 1970/75 efforts were made to formulate a common place of worship to meet the rising demands of celebrating Hindu rituals, festivals, and marriages.
An old Family by the name, of Lachman, held Yana services at their home to bring the Hindu families together for worship.
The community grew day by day, initially prayed held in the basement, and later moved to the garage.
A new place was built on the property of Pundit Paul Persaud’s residence.
In the year 1984, the religious group acquired a store-front building on Lyndale Avenue in Minneapolis and renovated it into a temple.
A committee called Minnesota Hindu Dharmic Sabha Vishnu Mandir was formed in 1995 and registered itself as a non-profit religious organization.
Ever since then the Committee is serving the locals and devotees by uplifting Hindu Dharmic practices and rituals.
