About the temple
The Sri Guruvayurappan temple in Dallas is a prominent Hindu temple in Dallas, Texas.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Guruvayurappan, a form of Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped as a presiding deity.
A Sneak Peek into the History
The idea of this temple began when a small group of devotees in Dallas needed a place of worship, to perform Hindu rituals and celebrate festivals together.
In the year 1985, the group established a community called HTSNT- The Hindu Temple Society of North Texas, which later became the catalyst to build the temple.
Funds were raised and a 3.4-acre land was procured to start the temple construction in October 2010.
Bhoomi pooja and Thulasi pooja to the land was done immediately and the design of the temple was approved in Jan 2011.
Vastu Baali pooja to the temple was done in March 2011, and by the month of August 2011, the search for deities installation in the temple began all over India.
In the year 2015 on March 25th the temple construction was completed with a huge spiritual hall filled with deities for devotees darshan.
Over the years, the Sri Guruvayurappan temple has grown in popularity both as a religious institution and a divine center for cultural activities.
It preserves and promotes the cultural heritage of Kerala and India, and is a center for spiritual growth and devotion under KHSNT

The temple adores celebrations to Lord Guruvayurappan, also is Lord Ganesha, and Lord Ayyappa( also known as Lord Dharma Sastha- a combined elemental form of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva)
Goddess Durga, Murti of the Trimurti- Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma, Maa Bhagavathi, and Navagrahas.
