Hanuman Jayanthi
Hanuman Jayanthi is the birthday of Lord Sri Hanuman, The Monkey God. Lord Hanuman born on Purnima day in the month of Chaitra, i.e, on the 15th day of Shukla Paksha. Devotees offer prayers to Hanuman by going temples or at home by chanting Hanuman chalisa. Hanuman Jayanthi Shobha yatra is a rally by Hanuman Devotees.
In 2017, Hanuman Jayanthi is falling on April, 11th.
In Maharashtra, Hanuman Jayanthi is celebrated on Moola Nakshatra which falls in Hindu lunar month of Margazhi (Margashiram), in Karnataka it is celebrated on Shukla Paksha Trayodashi of Margashira Month.

Hanuman is a devotee of Sri Rama. He is also called as Anjeya or Anjaneeputra. Hauman is believed to have magical powers. In India most of the villages have Lord Hanuman Temple.
Telugu people observe fast or vrat with Hanuman maladharana for 41 days, which starts on Chaitra Pournami and ends on the tenth day (Dashami) of Krishna Paksha in Vaishaka month.
Hanuman Jayanthi Shobha Yatra
On Hanuman Jayanthi, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) conducting Hanuman Shobha Yatra or Veer Hanuman Vijay yatra in Telangana.
In Hyderabad Shobhayatra starts from Ram Mandir at Gowliguda , Hyderabad and ends at famous Hanuman Temple at Tadbund, Secunderabad. More than one lakh Hanuman devotees accompanies this Shobha Yatra.
Yatra is also takes place in Nizamabad, Sangareddy, Armoor, Kamareddy and other towns.
