Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Sakalam.org (the “Site”) or booking any services through it. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Nature of Our Services
Sakalam.org facilitates the booking of virtual Puja, Homa, and Archana services performed on your behalf.
Performed by Verified Pandits: All rituals booked through Sakalam.org are performed by Pandits who have been verified by us for their qualification and experience in the relevant tradition and temple procedure.
Sankalpa & Ritual Details: Rituals are performed according to the Sankalpa, Gotra, and family member details you provide at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to ensure this information is accurate and complete, as it directly determines how the ritual is conducted.
Video Delivery: Following the performance of your booked ritual, a video recording documenting the ritual will be delivered to you within 72 hours of completion, via the contact details provided at booking. Delivery timelines may occasionally be affected by temple-specific restrictions (some temples restrict recording in sanctum areas) or unforeseen circumstances, in which case we will communicate any delay to you. For some rituals such as Archana or Abhishekam, sharing videos may not be possible due to temple policies.
Spiritual Nature of Service: Rituals are performed with sincerity and in accordance with tradition; however, Sakalam.org does not guarantee, and cannot be held responsible for, any specific spiritual, material, or personal outcome resulting from a ritual.
2. User Conduct & Account Responsibilities
By using Sakalam.org, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account or making a booking
- Keep your account credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use
- Use the Site only for lawful purposes, and not to submit false, misleading, offensive, or fraudulent information (including ritual details submitted under false pretenses)
- Not attempt to interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Site
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Bookings & Payments
All bookings are subject to availability of Pandits and temple schedules. Payments are processed via Razorpay as described in our Privacy Policy. A booking is considered confirmed only upon successful payment confirmation.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on Sakalam.org, including articles, temple and festival information, graphics, and branding is the property of Sakalam.org unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission.
Images sourced from the web: In presenting information about temples and other subjects, we may use images of temples or related subject matter sourced from the internet. We make reasonable efforts to use images appropriately, but if you are the rights holder of an image displayed on Sakalam.org and believe it has been used without proper authorization, please contact us at info@sakalam.org with details of the image and its location on our Site. We will promptly review the request and remove the image if it is confirmed to be copyrighted and used without permission.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Sakalam.org acts as a facilitator connecting devotees with verified Pandits and temple services, and is not liable for delays, errors, or omissions caused by temple authorities, local regulations, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- Sakalam.org’s total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Site or services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.
- Sakalam.org is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or services, including any perceived spiritual outcome.
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Site, or the services offered through it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
