History Of The Temple

Gracing the city of Brisbane is the lovely temple of Lord Venkatesha Durga, an abode of Lord Venkatesha and Mata Durga.

This famous temple in brisbane is located in a serene, relaxed, and tranquil vicinity away from the city hustle, aims to endorse the traditions, rites, and rituals of the Hindu community.

It mainly aims to cater to the spiritual needs of the devotees across the state, helping them to stay connected to the Hindu identity in a foreign country.

Deity In The Temple

The main deity of this temple is Lord Venkatesha, an avatar of Vishnu, the deity possesses the supreme power of Trimurti: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

Lord Venkateshwara is also believed to hold the divine power of Shakti and Skanda as well, he is known as Swayambhu(self–manifested)

Mata Durga, meaning invincible, is seated on Lion as her chariot and a destroyer of Mahishasura, the ancient demon who took multiple forms in ancient times.

Maa Durga is especially prayed in Dussehra or Navaratri in 9 forms of the avatar as a victory of good over evil.

One can see Lord Ganesha (also known as vigneshwara, Gajanana, and so on) on the temple premises
