About the Temple

One of the famous temples located about 15 km from Jagitial and 35 km from Karimnagar in Muthyampeta village of Mallial Mandal in Jagitial District.

Situated on a hillock between the beautiful hills.

The temple gives an amazing perspective while being surrounded by caves and the Rayuni fort on its northern side.

Additionally, the fort and caves provide for a relaxing vacation destination.

About the deity

Anjaneya swamy(Lord Hanuman) is the main deity of the temple believed to be swayambu as mentioned in the silasanana on the external walls of the temple.

The idols of Lord Venkateshwara swamy, Alwar and Lami are there in the temple at the left and right the main deity.

Along with Narasimha Vaktram Amburilla and Shankhu Chakra, Sri Anjneya Swamy faced the north side of the temple.

In the Chatada Sri Visnava Agama Sampradayam, the deity is perfumed with poojas and ceremonies.

History

Locals claim that the temple’s history begins around 500 years ago.

When Singam Sanjeevudu, a cowherd who had lost one of his buffalo, travelled to this hilly region in search of it.

He spent a long time searching and soon fell into a sound sleep.

According to legend, Lord Anjaneya Swamy appeared to Sanjeeva in his dream and revealed the location of the missing buffalo.

When Sanjeeva woke up to start searching in the specified area, he found an idol of Anjaneya Swamy and he built a small temple.

In the middle of the 20th century, Krishna Rao Deshmukh constructed the current building.

Speciality of the temple

People who don’t have children are said to be blessed with one by praying to Anjaneya Swamy here for 40 days.

45 Dharmashalas are  housed in the temple for the convenience of visitors.

It is thought that the presiding god, Sri Anjaneya, is ‘Sanjeeva’ for those who are ill, mentally challenged, and childless.

From the beginning of time, people have regarded water as the primary source of life. Abhishekam, a type of water worship.

To honour their vows and adore Kondagattu Anjaneya, pilgrims conduct Abhishekam here and take diksha for 11 days, 21 days, and 41 days.

Sri Swamy vari CHANDANAM obtained from Swmay varu’s left-hand bowl is an excellent mahatyam, and each devotee firmly believes in the aforementioned Chandanam.

The visitor to this temple is needs to always take CHANDANAM AS PRASADAM.

At the time of Hanuman Jayanthi, a large number of devotees conduct Hanuman Deeksha for a total of 41 days and stroll to Kondagattu Hanuman Temple.

How to Reach

In the Karimnagar District of Telangana, Jagtial and Kondagattu are both near together. You have the choice of using a bus, cab, or your own vehicle to get to Kondagattu.
