Mohini Ekadashi 2020 Date
Ekadashi is 11th day in Hindu calendar. Mohini Ekadashi is observed in the month of Vaisakha during Shukla paksha(waxing phase of the moon) Ekadashi. Ekadashi is also known as Hari Vasara as it is dedicated to lord Vishnu (Sri Hari).
Mohini Ekadashi 2020 date is on Sunday, 3rd May.
On this day Hindu devotees observe fasting and end after sunrise of the next day. Breaking the fasting is called as Parana.
It is believed that Ekadashi fasting helps in the ride of all the sins and past life misdeeds. According to Hindu mythology, Mohini is the attractive female avatar of Lord Vishnu.
In Mahabharata, it is mentioned as Lord Vishnu appears in the form of Mohini to acquire the pot of Amrita from demons (asuras) and gives back to gods(devas).

When Yudhishthir asked Lord Krishna about the importance of Mohini Ekadashi. Sri Krishna replied about how Rama observed vrat in Tretha Yuga after sage Vasishta advised to perform vrat.
Explained how all obstacles of Rama gone away after performing Vrat. Also explained how Sri Rama won the battle against Ravana & bring back Sita.
