Full moon days in Hindu calendar are known as Purnima or Pournami.

South Indian people called it as Pournami, whereas North Indians called it as Purnima.

Apart from festivals, Pournami is a very important and auspicious day in Hindu calendar.

Pournami that falls in the month of Bhadrapada or Badra is called as Bhadra Purnima or Bhadrapada Pournami.

Bhadrapada Purnima is one of the popular festival in Gujrat, dedicated to Goddess Ambaji. At Ambaji temple in Arasur, Banaskantha district of Gujarat huge fair will be held. The temple is one of the fifty-one Shakthi peetas.
